The KBO is the most popular sports league in South Korea. With 10 teams competing, many clubs have an average attendance of over 11,000 per game.

The league is highly competitive with multiple champions over the last 10 years. Historically, the Kia Tigers have been the most dominant and have won 12 championships since 1983.
