Indian Professional Cricket

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is the most-watched and richest cricket league in the world. With an average attendance of more than 40,000 per match, it is also one of the most attended sports leagues in the world.

In addition to the IPL, there are a variety of cup tournaments and regional state leagues throughout India that are contested across regional clubs.

The season runs from March until May and is contested between 10 different teams. It competes under the Twenty20 ruleset and has a group stage followed by a playoff to determine the champion.
