Kontinental Hockey League

The KHL is considered by many to be the strongest hockey league in Europe. With 22 clubs, 19 compete in Russia while 1 club each competes in Belarus, Kazakhstan, and China.

The league runs from September to March with a regular season followed by a playoff to determine the champion. Despite the league being mostly composed of Russian clubs and players, the league's athletes has representation across a number of nations in Europe.
